How do healthcare experiences affect cardiovascular health?
About the study
This research aims to better understand how experiences of weight-related stigma in healthcare settings may affect cardiovascular health. Your participation will help advance research and improve healthcare for future patients.
Who Can Participate?
You may be eligible if you:

Are 18–40 years old

Are generally healthy
-
Have experienced weight-related discrimination in a healthcare setting (including negative or dismissive comments, denial of proper medical care, etc)
What Does Participation Involve?
Participation includes:

One screening visit (approximately 35 minutes) to determine eligibility.

Two study visits (approximately 1.5 hours each) involving questionnaires and non-invasive cardiovascular assessments.
Participants who complete the study will receive a gift card up to $50 CAD ( 25 CAD per study visit) as compensation for their time.
